Current Year Requests

We will try to place returning employees at their pool and position prior to the day of their orientation. If you are not placed at your orientation you will be "pending" until February 2nd, when final staff decisions are made. Placement is determined by many factors including previous work performance and experience. 


Your position is not guaranteed until all re-hire requirements are met.

If applying for a Manager position, are you availible to manage a minimum of 30 hours a week ?
Do you have reliable transportation to work?
Teaching Lifeguard classesAre you interested in teaching lifeguarding classes and willing to take the 24 hour training class, or are already certified as an ARC Lifeguard Training Instructor?

Returning Employee Orientation

All returning employee orientations will be done virtually for the 2024 season.  The HR Department will contact you to schedule the day and time of your meeting.  

Training RequirementsI understand that my position for the upcoming season is not guaranteed until GHPM has received all current certifications on file. Each certification that I need will be completed before February 2, 2024. Although I am not required to take my training class through GHPMI, any outside class must be approved by the HR Director via email hrd@greaterhoustonpool.com. Information and registration directions for GHPM training classes are at www.greaterhoustonpool.com. If you do not find a class that fits your availability email hrd@greaterhoustonpool.com.
